▪️The 'Missile Man of India' Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was born on October 15, 1931 in the island town of Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. His full name is Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam. Born to poor parents he was never depressed by hardships and odds. He specialised in Aeronautical Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology. He was the key man who developed India's first indigenous setellite launch vehicle. Under his apt leadership India became an exclusive member of Space Club. He vowed to make India self-reliant in military warfare. He became the recipient of the highest civilian award 'Bharat Ratna'. As the President of the country he encouraged the youth to work hard to surmount all odds on the way. All along Dr. Kalam led a simple life. He was a great writer also. His autobiography Wings of Fire is a source of unending inspiration to the youth of India.
